Certificate of Authenticity

Every painting sold by Hanoi Art Gallery is an original work by a Vietnamese artist — never a print or a copy — and comes with an official Certificate of Authenticity signed by the artist and Hanoi Art Gallery.

What you receive

• A Certificate of Authenticity signed by the artist and the gallery
• Full details of the work: title, technique and materials, dimensions and year of creation
• A photograph of the artist with the work, where available
• The exhibition history of the work, where applicable

Why it matters

The certificate confirms that you own a genuine work, and it records its provenance. Keep it with the painting: it is essential for insurance, for future valuation, and if you ever decide to sell or pass the work on. The certificate also travels with the customs documents when a painting is shipped abroad.
