"Bamboo forest" – a lacquer painting by artist Dinh Viet – The tranquility hidden behind each layer of traditional and modern colors
Using traditional lacquer techniques combined with modern visual thinking, artist Dinh Viet has created an artistic space full of depth and meditation. In this work, the dense bamboo forest stretches out, shining with jade green and pale yellow, like threads of time flowing quietly on the surface of a calm lake.
The detail of a kingfisher perched peacefully in the quiet space is a subtle highlight, evoking life hidden in nature. Each line is meticulously processed through many layers of paint, creating the spatial depth and the characteristic shine of Vietnamese lacquer.
This is not just a painting, but a door opening the connection between people and nature, between traditional beauty and contemporary emotions. The work is a testament to Dinh Viet's unique visual language – quiet, profound and full of identity.
